OCS/ECS Game of the Month for December, 2019, is SWIV!
Yes, we have decided to allow SWIV again for December as potentially a lot of members missed out in November... and it is such as great game!

SWIV is a 2D vertically scrolling Shoot 'em up game originally released in 1991 for the Commodore Amiga.

Gave it good go tonight, almost broke my joystick I think! Gets insane after the Xevious-style spinning panels section.. that's an impressive score Jacob and will be hard to beat!

Tonight's run, which I think is my best, is 424860

I'll keep trying though, if my joystick is up to it!

(Or I have not trained enough yet). I only managed to get 81800 point thus far, but Im reporting it as a score anyway since it is now the 3. best reported score. Lets see if I can improve it. Turns out Im better on real HW than using emulation. I must say its a great shooter that I didn't know about before.

Gave it another good bash tonight and got my high score so I am happy with that!
Still cant get enough of this game!

I was at it a bit more this weekend. Now I am at 281190, after fixing my Good Old Competition Pro joystick

Very fun game.

Well, my daughter and I fired up the A2000 and had a bash at SWIV a game I loved many moons ago! Just shows you how bad a game player I am! Best we could do in about an hours playing was 50000! Could not even make the chart!

Ohh well! Hope we do better with the next one!
