It was very 'smart' of the random picked game from AGS this month, with the Australian Open tennis event coming up.  The GOTHEM for January is 'Advantage Tennis'!  a great old tennis game! Have fun!

September 2021 - Bubble and Squeak
« on: August 31, 2021, 08:05:21 pm »
AGA Game of the Month for September 2021, is Bubble and Squeak!

Bubble and Squeak is a platformer created by Audiogenic Software for Amiga computers and Amiga CD32 and released in 1994. The game was also ported to the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, with some small differences.

You control a kid called Bubble, and you are helped by your pet Squeak. You can decide what kind of help you want to receive from your friend, that can simply follow you, or can help you jump on the higher platforms. Most of the time, his help will be fundamental to solve the puzzles. Bubble & Squeak is not a game of pure action.

The interactions between the two characters, perfectly animated, are one of the most vital points of this game, designed by Patrick Fox and Scott Williams. But you also have excellent cartoon graphics, brilliant music and sound effects created by the legendary Allister Brimble, and a Super Mario inspired gameplay. What else can you ask from a platformer? Parallax scrolling? Check the AGA version and you will see!

I actually played a bit of this one and loved it!  I captured highscores as well!  But it has been such a busy month for me and despite reminding myself to post my score before the end of the month, here we are in October already!  Oh well, let's all have a go in October!
