It was very 'smart' of the random picked game from AGS this month, with the Australian Open tennis event coming up.  The GOTHEM for January is 'Advantage Tennis'!  a great old tennis game! Have fun!

A600 DF0/DF1 drive swap
« on: February 01, 2020, 04:55:45 pm »
I want to have the best of both worlds - that is using ye olde floppy and my gotek function as DF0 with the least amount of fuss while still being able to access the other drive.  Unfortunately the even CIA is a surface mount component on this system, so it's going to require some minor destruction to make this work compared to say an A500

This thread on Amibay looks like a relatively straight forward approach and the good thing is that it doesn't directly touch custom chips and appears to be somewhat reversible if necessary as it doesn't involve cutting tracks on the PCB (though this would be unlikely to happen)

Before I embark on this adventure though, is there anything else I should consider?
